Also part of the Menil compound
is Richmond Hall, site of fluorescent-light installations by the Minimalist
sculptor Dan Flavin. Included in the display are a three-part work specific
to the building (an exterior frieze of green light, diagonal slashes of
light in the foyer, and a great hall of multi-colored light), and an
interior gallery containing four individual wall sculptures, of white
fluorescent tubes, in the artist's "Monuments to V. Tatlin" series.Hours Photo: Dan Flavin Untitled (an installation of 4-foot fixtures in two opposing banks for the east and west interior walls of Richmond Hall), 1996 (96-23a DJ) Pink, yellow, green, blue and filtered U.V. fluorescent light
