Samani Akshay Pragya and Samani Vinay Pragya Jain Meditation
Samani Akshay Pragya Samani Vinay PragyaJain nuns Samani Akshay Pragya and Samani Vinay Pragya will lead a meditation based on the practice of Jainism, traditionally known as Jain Dharma. Jainism is a religion and philosophy originating in the prehistory of South Asia. Now a minority in modern India, Jainism stresses the spiritual independence and equality of all life with a particular emphasis on non-violence. Self-control is the means by which Jains attain the realization of the soul's true nature. Akshay and Vinay are disciples of His Holiness Acharya Mahapragyaji and teach at the Preksha Meditation Center in the Jain Vishva Bharati Institute in Ladnun. They earned M.A.'s in Jainology and specialize in Jain Philosophy, Meditation & Yoga, Science of Living, and Non-Violence. Akshay and Vinay are fluent in Hindi, Prakrit, Sanskrit, English and Rajasthani, have traveled extensively in India, the US, Europe and Asia, and have participated in many world conferences and seminars.
