Pieces of 9/11: Memories from Houston

Song Cycle with Houston Grand Opera

In commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the horrific loss of life in the United States on 9/11, 2001, the Rothko Chapel is joining with Houston Grand Opera to present a song cycle of stories related to people in Houston who experienced the tragedy in a highly personal way.  For the observance, Houston Grand Opera commissioned a new work, Pieces of 9/11: Memories from Houston, a song cycle by acclaimed American composer Jake Heggie with lyrics by Gene Scheer.
