People of all ages are invited to visit the Rothko Chapel any day of the year. Rothko Chapel brochures, calendar of events and books are available inside the space. On select Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, you may request that a Chapel representative be available to welcome and guide you through the Chapel experience, please see below to learn more about guided visits.

♦ For school groups (grades K-8), there is a preferred 1:10 ratio of chaperons to students. Groups of 15 or less are permitted inside the chapel at a time.
♦ We receive many requests for guided visits and ask for up to 72 hours response time.
♦ Guided visits are currently only offered on these select days:

Guided Visits (Tours):
♦ Reservation Required
♦ Duration of guided visit 30-45 minutes
♦ Only offered on select days, please see above.
♦ Each group will be greeted by a Rothko Chapel Guide who will lead them in a brief introduction to the Chapel before entering the space.
♦ After the introduction, the group is invited to spend 5-10 minutes inside the Chapel experiencing the space and viewing the art
♦ The Rothko Chapel Guide will then lead the tour group through a guided discussion about their experience and the Chapels history
♦ Suggested donation of $5 per person. Donations may be made in advance here or onsite at the front desk.
♦ Not available for groups larger than 15

Non-Guided Group Visits:
♦ Reservations are not required but highly recommended to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts and that the Chapel has enough staff to support the number of visitors
♦ Mondays through Sundays, 10am – 6pm
♦ For groups larger than 20 please arrive by 5pm
♦ Groups are asked to conduct all talking and introductions outside prior to entering the Chapel
♦ One person from the Group is asked to sign in
♦ Groups are invited to spend as much time as needed inside of the Chapel
