We joined for a timely conversation on the adverse health impacts of war and the US military-industrial complex. Keynote speaker David Vine shared a historical narrative of the relationships between the US economy and military imperialism, including the ways this history had impacted our community health, followed by a panel discussion with a doctor, veteran, chaplain, and medicine historian.

David's newest book, The United States of War: A Global History of America's Endless Conflicts, from Columbus to the Islamic State (University of California Press) was a finalist for the 2020 L.A.
